Camp IX, the entity that hosts the Calling of an Engineer Ceremony in Fredericton, is seeking applications for new Wardens, for Fall 2026 as it renews its volunteer leadership.

The Calling of an Engineer Ceremony, through the Obligation and presentation of the Iron Ring, offers UNB engineering graduates and qualified Senior Candidates the opportunity to formally commit to lifelong ethical conduct within their profession alongside their peers.
Camp IX Wardens have the unique privilege of guiding the ceremony participants through one of the most meaningful milestones in their engineering journey.
Expectations and Eligibility
Camp IX seeks individuals committed to upholding high standards of ethical conduct, and are:
An obligated engineer with ~10+ years of experience.
A practicing engineer, registered and in good standing with APEGNB.
Able to commit to providing in-person assistance in delivering and attending the April and December Obligation ceremonies. (Please note, travel to Fredericton for ceremonies is not reimbursed.)
Able to commit to multi-year involvement, 3–5 online meetings per year, and take on roles that support the mission of Camp IX.
Interested applicants should submit a one‑page cover letter describing why they want to be a Warden in Camp IX and a two‑page résumé, including a personal character reference to camp9@ironring.ca.
